Want to help improve your public library? The Omaha Public Library, Omaha Public Library Foundation, the City of Omaha, Do Space and Heritage Omaha are working together with the Omaha community to develop a 2023 Library Facilities Plan.

Community members can share input by taking an online survey before May 1 here. Encuentra una encuesta en español aquí, y lee este articuló en español aquí.

The groups also hosted six open house events to hear from the community about the 2023 Omaha Library Facilities Plan, according to a press release. Spanish interpreters were available Tuesday at The Simple Foundation and Wednesday at the Village Empowerment Center community events.

Tuesday, March 21, 5 to 7 p.m.: The Simple Foundation, 3003 Q Street 

Wednesday, March 22, 2 to 6 p.m.: Village Empowerment Center, 5190 Sprague Plaza

Thursday, March 23, 5 to 7 p.m.: Do Space, 7205 Dodge Street

Thursday, March 30, 5 to 7 p.m.: Omaha Public Library’s Millard Branch, 13214 Westwood Lane

Wednesday, April 5, 5 to 7 p.m.: Omaha Public Library’s Bess Johnson Elkhorn Branch, 2100 Reading Plaza

Thursday, April 6, 5 to 7 p.m.: Intercultural Senior Center, 5545 Center Street
