The Mexican consulate in Omaha kicked-off its latest immigrant help plan last week. It’s part of a 50-state effort providing extensive free services, legal recommendations and informational seminars about Know Your Rights.
National Public Radio reported last week that the Government of Mexico assigned $16 million to diverse consulates in the US to support this program.
Among the help offered, there is an app for smartphones with essential information, MiCONSULMEX-SRE, and a 24-hour helpline, 855.463.6395, free of charge, from the information and help center CIAM.
For more information, call the Consulate of Mexico to make an appointment at 402.595.1841. Their offices are located at 7444 Farnam St., Omaha, NE 68114.
