On Wednesday, November 18 at 12 noon, a virtual forum will be held in Spanish with medical experts on Covid-19 and the havoc it is wreaking in society, especially in the Spanish-speaking community in Douglas County and adjacent cities.
The event organized by Douglas County Department of Health and La Casa del Pueblo grocery store will feature five health experts who will answer several questions asked by the community about Covid-19.
Among the questions collected are those about the vaccine, home remedies, in addition to cases where a family member is positive while the rest are negative, rate of infections and hospitalizations, among others.
The conference will be conducted in Spanish through the Zoom platform and broadcasted by Facebook on Wednesday, November 18 at 12 pm. The panel will consists of doctors: Armando De Alba Rosales (University of Nebraska Medical Center), Sara Hurtado Bares (University of Nebraska
Medical Center), Shirley F. Delair (Children’s Hospital and Medical Center Infectious Diseases Pediatrician), Alhelí Gastelum (internist at Creighton Medical University), Eduardo Herrera Lirio (gynecologist and obstetrician at CHI Health Clinic).
