The annual Cinco de Mayo festival is returning to the heart of South Omaha for its 106th year.
Casa de la Cultura, in partnership with Supermercado Nuestra Familia, announced Cinco de Mayo Omaha will be held May 15-17 along historic South 24th Street from L to O streets.
The three-day festival, which its website states has been recognized as Nebraska’s number one cultural attraction and the recipient of the prestigious Henry Fonda Tourism Award, will continue its legacy as one of the Midwest’s premier cultural celebrations.
A press release stated Cinco de Mayo Omaha is one of the largest Latino festivals in the Midwest, and features a vibrant parade, live music, cultural programming and community engagement opportunities. The event supports local businesses, promotes tourism and creates a welcoming space to celebrate culture and history.
The event is attended by more than 100,000 visitors from six states.

Cinco de Mayo Omaha celebrates the richness of Mexican culture, while fostering economic vitality and community pride in South Omaha. The 2026 theme is “Familia,” which highlights the importance of family, heritage and unity across generations.
It honors the deep-rooted families who have shaped the South Omaha community, including this year’s Grand Marshals, the Deloa, Barrientos, Valadez, Lara and Aguilera families, during the Saturday parade.
Billed as the largest parade in the Midwest, the event draws more than 25,000 spectators.
Multiple concert performances will be held as part of the event, including artists Johnny Molina y Los Sabaneros de Aniceto, Energía Norteña, Rosendo Robles, Jeni Lopez – (La Voz Gemela de Jenni Rivera) and Corona de Nietos.
